Location : Remote with occasional onsite meeting requirements.  Additionally, this position may require emergency onsite support at our data centers located in Indianapolis, Indiana and Flint, Michigan.  Qualified applicants must be able to commute to one of these locations within 2 hours when needed.

We're looking for an Applications Developer II who is not only a technical expert but also a strategic thinker and mentor, someone who sees technology as a way to serve people better.

In this role, you'll lead the development of enterprise-level web and mobile applications, including full ownership of our credit union's website built on a modern Content Management System (CMS). You'll be at the forefront of designing intuitive, secure, and scalable solutions that enhance the lives of our members and support our internal teams.

What You'll Do :

  • Lead with Purpose : Architect and develop high-impact digital solutions that solve real business challenges and improve member experiences.
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with stakeholders, designers, and developers to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centered applications.
  • Mentor and Inspire : Guide junior developers, share knowledge, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Innovate and Elevate : Drive best practices in UI / UX, performance, scalability, and security while staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Own the Experience : Take full responsibility for the design, implementation, and support of our CMS-powered website, ensuring it's responsive, accessible, and seamlessly integrated with core systems.

What You Bring :

  • 5–7 years of progressive software development experience, with a strong portfolio of enterprise-level projects.
  • Full-stack expertise in languages like Python, Java, C#, or NodeJS, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Deep understanding of UI / UX principles and experience with tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (Kentico, WordPress, Drupal, or Headless CMS).
  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI / CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
  • Bonus : Experience with financial institution systems such as Jack Henry Symitar or Alkami.

  • Expected Starting Salary Range : $88,700 - $113,950 annually based on experience beyond what is required of the role and geographic location.
