System Engineer / System Administrator

A NYS authority located in downtown NY is looking for a System Engineer / System Administrator for a 6+ month assignment.

Candidate should have demonstrated hands-on experience working on large scale deployments.

Candidate background must include Windows configurations and Active Directory experience.

Mandatory Skills :

Active Directory and Windows Server Administration and Hardening

Windows Administration

Windows configurations and deployments Responsibilities include :

Set up and deploy devices, including defining access policy for Active Directory.

Define requirements for conditional access policy for Azure Active Directory.

Install hardware / software including anti-virus software.

Work closely with IT / OT to support best practices related to security, application optimization, business processes, and issue resolutions.

Systems administration including patching, security and in-house systems troubleshooting.

Document process and procedures.

Identify and develop process improvements and efficiencies.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience with the following :

Securing / hardening desktops

Implementing / Configuring endpoint security tools (e.g. Trellix, Crowdstrike, etc.)

Enterprise level deployments of desktops / servers

Windows AD configuration / administration

VMware for desktop / server deployments Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience :

• Virtualization and Infrastructure
• Endpoint Credential Management
• Active Director and Windows Server Administration and Hardening
• Privilege and Access management
• Enterprise Level deployments.
• Vulnerability and Patch Management
• Active Director and Windows Server Administration and Hardening
• Experience in desktop support
