Overview

We are conducting a confidential search for a Production Engineering (PE) Manager with a strong background in manufacturing operations. This leadership role will oversee a growing team, lead capital projects, and drive automation and process improvements to support high-volume production.

Base pay range

$120,000.00 / yr - $150,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Production Engineering team to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage capital projects from justification through implementation (including automation and robotics)
  • Oversee equipment selection, maintenance, and facility support
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and automotive quality standards (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, etc.)
  • Drive innovation through AI, automation, and process optimization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Materials Science
  • 15+ years of manufacturing experience (with plant management exposure)
  • Strong background in heat treat, plating, or high-volume coating / painting processes
  • Experience with automation, robotics, and AI-driven manufacturing solutions
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor a technical team, and collaborate across departments
  • Knowledge of capital justification / ROI documentation
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, environmental response, and automotive quality systems
