Job Summary : The Associate Director of Facilities supports the operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the Columbus Museum of Art’s buildings and grounds across multiple properties. This position ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, while assisting with project coordination, vendor management, and sustainability initiatives. Working closely with museum staff, this role contributes to providing a welcoming environment for visitors, employees, and collections.

Uniform Requirements : This position does require maintaining a dress code and a clean, professional personal appearance.
Physical Demands : To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the staff member must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, raise hands and arms in reaching motion, talk, and hear. May occasionally need to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell. Staff members may frequently have to lift 25-50 lbs. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. Work Environment : The work environment is normally quiet with occasional moderate noise levels. Work may be required outside for extended periods in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, ice & snow). The staff member may occasionally operate heavy equipment, creating exposure to vibration from a shaking object or surface. He / she will occasionally work in high, precarious places or near moving mechanical parts. This position requires exposure to possible electrical shock due to high voltage equipment or circuits. The staff member may have occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
