Position Summary

The position of Facilities Representative II is established to coordinate vendors and oversee projects related to Credit Union facilities including providing support and expertise regarding security alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, maintenance, contractor work, and repairs. Maintain quality service standards set by the organization.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in building maintenance, to include two years of experience in oversight role, to include vendor management. Strong knowledge and application of building trade competencies or three years of SDCCU experience to include background in a job role supporting multiple departments.
  • Demonstration of effective analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of building plans and blueprints.
  • Project management using knowledge of planning methodologies and critical path planning desirable.
  • Basic working knowledge of PC / MS Office; general understanding of security systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems and applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, plan and guide people and projects to a successful completion.
  • Sufficient planning and organizational skills to meet established deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple complex and concurrent projects.
  • Ability to strategically problem solve and make recommendations using critical thinking, and logic.
  • Ability to follow and interpret instructions as well as communicate and provide instructions to others.
  • Ability to review, coordinate and complete detailed information involving Facilities tasks and project work.
  • Ability to work independently and function under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and departments.
  • Demonstrated ability be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, efficient and proactive customer service at all times for internal and external customers. Actively manage applicable tickets within the internal Facility Management Software System for the maintenance and repair of the credit union’s various locations.
  • Manage facility repair and maintenance, coordinating contractors and escorts, and directing site activities. Coordinate project work including all aspects of vendor task assignments. Escort vendors for specific projects as needed.
  • Consult with vendors and consultants to identify needs, and develop solutions for facility management issues.
  • Monitor and assist with the facilities preventative maintenance program for SDCCU’s facilities, conducting periodic inspections, and determining necessary modifications or updates. Communicate ideas for improving processes or implementing proactive tactics to management. Create Facilities SOPs as needed.
  • Oversee facilities vendors, including the communication of work schedules, establishment and monitoring of performance objectives, and recommendations for professional development.
  • Conduct branch site and maintenance procedure assessments to report conditions and ensure compliance to government regulations & safety standards. Consult with onsite management to identify any areas of opportunity that can be assessed for adjustment or repair.
  • Assist, plan and attend and / or conduct maintenance tasks and project meetings. Track & monitor progress of Facilities related tasks and projects.
  • Effectively communicate accurate information to the Facilities team.
  • Meet with contractors at various locations to obtain bids / estimates.
  • Investigate and report details of third-party vendor quarterly branch inspections as directed.
  • Supervise and inspect completed contractor work.
  • Maintain and monitor security applications / software and building management system program.
  • Assist with fire drill coordination and Disaster Recovery.
  • Perform on-call afterhours duties as necessary.

    The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

    Monday-Friday : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

    Saturday / Sunday : OFF

    Full Time - 40 hours a week
