Overview
Baker Donelson has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This position may be based at any office location within the Firm's footprint. The role offers flexibility, including the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel to an office for training, trial preparation, and other in-person events.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and / or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, with a minimum of five years of litigation experience. Proficiency in managing, organizing, and reviewing complex litigation documents is required, with experience in Relativity or similar document review platforms. Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams and Asana is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to trial counsel across all stages of litigation, from initial investigation through trial and resolution.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct thorough factual investigations and assist attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Provide direct support during trial proceedings.
- Proficiently handle electronic and paper filing procedures in state and federal courts and navigate relevant court rules and court websites.
- Perform effective legal research and organize materials to support attorneys' strategy and case management.
- Accurately record billable hours and manage multiple projects for different attorneys simultaneously.
- Be willing to work overtime and travel for trials as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and / or ABA-approved paralegal certificate; minimum five years of litigation experience.Strong independent work, organization, and communication skills.Experience with Relativity or similar document review platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Asana preferred.Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects for different attorneys.Must be authorized to work in the United States; resumes only accepted for this job posting.Benefits
