Benefits :Description : This positions has primary responsibilities for recruiting and training staff and scheduling services for Assisting Hands. The Care Manager matches caregivers with clients and coordinates caregiver schedules. The Care Manager is responsible for tracking staff training and helping grow the skills to aid in retaining staff and improving quality provided to our Clients. The Care Manager is assigned a case load and is responsible for all correspondence with client, family members and caregivers. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, family members and health care professionals. The Care Manager is also responsible for conducting supervisory visits to ensure staff and client satisfaction with our Assisting Hands location.
Qualifications : Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills, must be well-organized and have good attention to detail. Requires at least two years experience in management of CNA / Caregiving staff, scheduling, or customer service in a health care setting. Experience with home care, home health or senior services preferred. Must be a good problem solver and able to work independently. Reports to : Lead Care Manager.
Primary Duties
1. Primary duty is to oversee the onboarding, hiring and training of quality caregivers
2. Staff cases- match appropriate caregiver to jobs that are called in by clients, case managers and others.
3. Makes sure that all cases are covered. Arrange for substitute / back-up coverage as necessary.
4. Assists sales team to onboard and follow-up with new client leads, perform intakes as needed.
5. Handles / resolves client and caregiver issues, problems and scheduling changes.
6. Responsible for maintaining client and caregiver files and keeping them up to date.
7. Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers and family members.
8. Counsels caregivers regarding attendance or performance issues. Provides verbal and written warning for actions against policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to administrator regarding termination of caregivers.
9. Provides feedback and recommendation for annual performance reviews for caregivers.
10. Works closely with accounting to ensure that hours and pay rates are correct for billing and payroll.
11. On-call for assigned client caseload
12. Responsible for supervisory visits every 30 days and maintaining weekly contact with clients and family members.
13. Responsible for supervising caregivers for quality, training and retention issues
14. In conjunction with Agency Manager, ensures compliance with state and agency rules for Caregivers and client files.
Hours : 8 : 00am- 6 : 00pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary
Compensation : Hourly rate. Additional on-call compensation.
