UI / UX Designer

IRYS Technologies is seeking a UI / UX Designer to play an essential role to our enterprise-level application development team. This role focuses on crafting intuitive and engaging user interfaces that meet both business objectives and user needs. The designer collaborates closely with frontend developers, backend developers, and the project manager to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

Work Setting : Hybrid work setting with occasional in-office setting located in downtown San Antonio, TX.

Technical Process

The UI / UX Designer follows a structured process to deliver high-quality designs :

1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis

• Stakeholder Meetings : Engage with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and user requirements.
• User Research : Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather user insights.
• Competitive Analysis : Analyze competitor products to identify industry best practices and opportunities for differentiation.

4. Wireframing

5. Prototyping

6. Visual Design

7. Design System Development

8. Handoff and Collaboration

9. Iterative Improvement

Performance Metrics

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Understanding of government security standards and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.
