Position Overview :

The CNC & Robot Technician will play a key role in supporting ongoing R&D and production efforts. You'll report to the head of engineering and will work in the machine shop to develop one-off parts to assist across projects, leveraging heavy equipment like industrial robotic arms and CNC machines. This role is ideal for someone experienced in automated systems, manufacturing, and metrology with a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as routing, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Maintain quality control documents and update setup information.
  • Operate and monitor robotic systems remotely to inspect and maintain manufacturing cells.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to robot operation.
  • Ensure robotic systems operate within specified parameters and safety standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot robotics and manufacturing equipment.
  • Fabricate, assemble, test, inspect, and maintain production tools and systems.
  • Machine parts using detailed drawings and CAD models.
  • Assist with the development of robotics-enabled machining functions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience reading and designing CAD and CAM systems.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering prints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated experience working with CNC machines.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with robotic arms from manufacturers such as Kuka, Kawasaki, Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, etc.
  • Welding, metal fabrication, or construction experience.
  • Experience writing PLC code and programming CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or other quality manufacturing processes.

    Compensation

    Base pay range : $80,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with your recruiter to learn more.

    California-Specific Employment Information : Compensation will be based on experience and will comply with California's minimum wage requirements. Solideon offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and more options. This position complies with California's mandated break and rest period laws.
