Supply Chain Intern
Voith Paper is hiring for : Supply Chain Intern Appleton, WI
Summary : The Purchasing Intern is responsible for expediting tasks and working on the master Casting pattern list.
Responsibilities :
- Handle expediting requests after purchase orders have been acknowledged by the vendor.
- Document late deliveries in SAP based on feedback from suppliers.
- Support Voith Paper Appleton Expediter to prepare weekly Order production meeting and follow up on items with suppliers that are late - addressed during the meeting.
- Review with shipping & Receiving items that cant be identified based on missing paperwork
- Work closely with Buyers to quickly resolve outstanding issues.
- Support Expediter to analyze materials together with Manufacturing needed for small and large assemblies to ensure materials arrive in time for our shop to complete manufacturing steps.
- Support Expediter to prepare weekly reports on supplier activities (late - on time or early delivery) external and internal.
- Review historical list of patterns and update with current SAP part numbers and drawings
- Identify parts that use the same patterns and common equipment.
- Contact vendors and verify the current inventory, ways identified and condition of patterns at their locations, document outcome in master patten list.
- Communicate with vendor the current desired markings.
- Work with Buyer and Engineering to identify obsolete patterns and coordinate scrapping.
- Improve or develop new tools that makes visible active Voith patterns, their location and condition.
Requirements : Currently enrolled in technical school or associate degree program in Supply Chain or a related program. Proficient in the use of computers utilizing Windows programs as well as the ability to learn and use SAP operating system. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
