Description
POSITION PURPOSE : Stock, prep, and keep the bar stocked before and during service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels.
- Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the bar and bartenders.
- Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy.
- Store products properly and in designated areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas.
- Scoop and transport ice to service areas.
- Wash dishes and redistribute to appropriate areas as needed.
- Assist with additional duties as requested by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests.Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment.Ability to grasp, bend, lift and / or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart / truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
