Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer role at Parker Hannifin in Cary, NC. This position is onsite 4 days per week and 1 day work from home. The NVH (Noise, Vibration, & Harshness) Division seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop and test mixed-signal circuit board designs for embedded systems applications. The role supports electromechanical sensing and actuation systems in areas such as active noise and vibration control, tactile feedback / steer-by-wire, and drive shaft torque sensing. The Electrical Engineering team collaborates with Systems and Software Engineering to qualify and certify technologies as products for aerospace and industrial markets.
Responsibilities and activities include collaboration with hardware, software, and systems teams to design, validate, and integrate electrical hardware for customer applications, and participation in design reviews and process improvement efforts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mixed-signal circuit boards with microcontroller hardware, analog components, and switching power supplies.
- Document schematic designs and circuit analysis using tools such as OrCAD, SPICE, and Mathcad.
- Work with circuit board layout specialists to implement schematic designs in hardware.
- Collaborate with embedded system / software engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
- Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, metering) for design validation and troubleshooting.
- Develop test methods and procedures to evaluate hardware performance, including acceptance and functional testing.
- Perform EMI / EMC testing and functional testing at hardware and electromechanical product levels.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to process improvements to meet industry standards.
- Interact with customers to support design reviews and system integration.
Qualifications
