Temporary Administrative Support
Answers telephone calls, greets callers and assesses needs, and routes calls appropriately. Receives donations and distributes them to the appropriate place. Provides clerical support to the department as assigned.
We live in a generous community that provides toys, blankets, and other items for patients. Primary Children's Hospital is seeking temporary administrative support to assist in managing the donation process during the holiday season. This position will begin in November 2025 and conclude in early January 2026. This role will typically work from 9am to 5pm (M-F).
Job Essentials
- Meet, greet, and thank community donors and receive donations.
- Maintains and organizes donation receiving areas.
- May oversee community volunteers.
- Provides clerical support. May assist with any of the following assignments : typing; data entry; scheduling appointments or meetings; stocking supplies; scanning documents; processing forms or paperwork; or other clerical duties.
- Communicates professionally with donors by phone, email, or in-person.
- Checks phone and email messages and communicates accurate messages in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Six months experience as a receptionist or working in a clerical position with customer service or public relations responsibilitiesExperience using a computer including email and internetExperience using general office equipment such as fax machines, printers and copiersDemonstrated effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks with accuracy and in a timely mannerDemonstrated focus on positive customer servicePreferred Qualifications
Experience working in a healthcare settingExperience typing or performing data entryExperience with word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling programsStand and sit for extended periods of time.Lift at least 20 lbs.Possess a valid driver's license.Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for caregiver to see and read information, assess callers' needs, and operate computer systemsFrequent interactions with callers and other employees that require caregiver to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accuratelyManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy.
