CME Associates is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traffic analysis, signal design, and transportation planning.
Responsibilities
- Traffic Analysis & Modeling : Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analysis, and safety evaluations using industry-standard software.
- Signal & Intersection Design : Design traffic signals, roadway signage, pavement markings, and intersection improvements following NJTA, NJDOT and MUTCD standards.
- Transportation Planning & Studies : Develop traffic control plans, detour plans, and transportation management strategies for public and private sector projects.
- Regulatory Compliance & Permitting : Prepare reports, design documents, and permit applications to ensure compliance with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local transportation agencies.
- Plan Development & Software Utilization : Prepare technical drawings and design plans using CAD software, with a preference for MicroStation .
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.Licenses & Certifications : PE and PTOE required .Experience : 4+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, including signal design, roadway safety analysis, and transportation planning.Technical Skills : Proficiency in traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, VISSIM) and CAD software (MicroStation preferred).Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local traffic engineering standards and guidelines.Benefits
