The Continuous Improvement Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a continuous improvement strategy throughout our manufacturing facility. This role will lead initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategy & Leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with company goals. Lead, mentor, and coach employees at all levels on the principles and tools of continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement : Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction (Muda), and efficiency gains. Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other problem-solving workshops.
- Project Management : Manage and execute a portfolio of continuous improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results. Utilize project management tools to track progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data Analysis : Use data-driven approaches to analyze processes, identify root causes of problems, and measure the impact of improvements. Utilize statistical tools (e.g., Six Sigma) to drive data-based decisions.
- Training & Development : Develop and deliver training programs on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to build internal capabilities and empower employees.
- Culture & Communication : Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Effectively communicate project goals, progress, and results to all stakeholders.
- Best Practices : Stay current with industry’s best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement and manufacturing technology.
Safety & Quality : Ensure all continuous improvement initiatives prioritize safety and quality standards
Requirements : Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Experience :Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Lean and / or Six Sigma initiatives.Certifications :Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is required.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.Skills :Expertise in Lean Manufacturing Principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM).Proficient in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical process control (SPC).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
