Overview
HDR's Northern California Solid Waste and Organics group has an opportunity for an Environmental / Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our rapidly growing California team. The role involves engineering, project management, project pursuits and client relationship management for projects including contaminated materials assessment / investigation / management / compliance, including waste discharge requirement (WDR) compliance reporting, as well as work in municipal solid waste (MSW), industrial facilities, and organics industries, with an emphasis on system planning, engineering analysis, cost estimating, design, construction management, permitting / regulatory compliance.
Specific duties include maintaining client relationships, proposal development support, planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of waste systems, storm water controls, groundwater monitoring, and site layout / infrastructure elements (utilities, roads, support buildings, soil borrow areas, etc.) and report writing.
The Environmental / Civil EIT will function as a project designer and assistant project manager on mid-size to large projects. This role will be responsible for assisting team leadership in sustaining and growing client relationships and organizing and contributing to overall business development opportunities. A core component of this will be supporting upcoming project opportunities and participating in the project pursuit and proposal development.

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,032.00 - $107,669.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
