Lead Java / Kafka Engineer

Requirements : Must have :

• I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• I possess over 10 years of experience in developing multi-tier distributed applications.
• I have demonstrated expertise in creating and testing accessible and responsive UI applications utilizing Angular, NgRx, and TypeScript.
• I possess expert-level knowledge in REST API development with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot technologies.
• I have experience with MQ / Kafka technology for creating and supporting data ingestion services.
• I am familiar with financial messaging protocols such as FIX.
• I have experience with AWS cloud technologies as a plus.
• I am familiar with GIT workflows for code check-ins and reviews.
• I have experience with DevOps / deployment tools and techniques like Jenkins, Concourse, Docker, etc.
• I have a strong background in developing and successfully delivering cloud-based full-stack applications.
• I have demonstrated proficiency in various relational and non-relational database technologies (ideally Oracle, Redis, Aerospike, Dynamo DB).
• I feel comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment and have exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• I have a passion for writing clean, maintainable code and am always looking to enhance my engineering skills in fast-paced and ambiguous situations.
• I am eager to learn, adapt, and quickly embrace and implement new concepts and technologies.
• I have a solid understanding of fundamental design principles for building modular and scalable platforms.
• I build positive relationships with other team members and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and a highly professional demeanor are essential for me in this role.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, I will be applying my extensive software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Fidelity's customer-facing software solutions.

In New Jersey, the pay rate range for this role is $65.00 — $102.68 per hour, subject to variation based on job responsibilities, geographic location, the candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
