job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThe Hem / Onc Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician will be responsible for : Managing oncology follow-up visits Performing chemotherapy teaching for patients Providing emergent support to onsite infusion centers Conducting in-office bone marrow biopsies Supporting general oncology patient base (GI / GU focus preferred, generalists welcome) Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain quickly) 2+ years of Hem / Onc or related clinical experience preferred Graduate degree (NP, PA, or MD / DO) Current NPI, DEA, and CDS Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills Excellent communication and patient care skills Prior experience with bone marrow biopsies Oncology / hematology subspecialty training or exposure Ability to adapt across outpatient and inpatient settings
A healthcare organization in Connecticut is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Oncologist to join their Hematology / Oncology team. This is a contract opportunity providing outpatient coverage, with a flexible schedule and potential for extension.
About the Opportunity :
- Location : Connecticut (multiple outpatient sites)
- Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm (flexible)
- Duration : 3+ months, with potential to extend
- Setting : Primarily outpatient, with possible inpatient component
- On-Call : Physicians - every 3rd weekend & 1 weekday; APPs - no call
- Coverage need due to provider leave
