Responsibilities and Duties
Provide direct primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, chronic disease management, lab / radiology interpretation, and referrals (50%-60% clinical time)Supervise and mentor 2-4 Nurse Practitioners, offering clinical guidance, chart review, case consultation, and professional feedbackAct as preceptor for new NPs or PAs; oversee onboarding, clinical supervision, and performance evaluationDesign, implement, and monitor clinical quality improvement activities, including peer review, chart audits, and QA / CQI programsMaintain and update clinical policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with tribal, state, and federal regulationsParticipate in strategic planning, program expansion, and grant development or reportingAssist with recruiting, onboarding, and credentialing of new clinical staff; manage provider scheduling and performance appraisalsEnsure compliance with tribal, state, federal, and accreditation requirements; lead accreditation preparation processesServe as clinic liaison with external partners and represent the medical department at meetingsProvide comprehensive clinical care at a primary care level, including educative, curative, preventive, and rehabilitative servicesDevelop and implement standards of care and evidence-based practice protocolsCollaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop educational programsParticipate in committees and staff meetings to promote integrated clinical practice and quality outcomesAssist with maximizing access to care, telehealth utilization, and best practicesOversee vaccines for children program, lab services, and maintenance of CLIA certificationAdditional Information
