Job Family Description

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Discipline Description

Program managers are responsible for managing organization activities and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. They perform the tasks and responsibilities associated with ongoing work efforts and oversee multiple related projects or initiatives within the organization. Program managers coordinate resources, timelines, and stakeholders to deliver outcomes that meet quality standards and drive overall success.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

• Lead and manage technology-related program functions to support key stakeholder site objectives, streamline funding requests, integrate program functions, and ensure coordinated execution for our Federal government customer.
• Oversee a broad and multifaceted portfolio of technology-related programs, including Information Technology, Operational Technology, NNSA Enterprise-level initiatives, and strategic partnerships with vendor organizations and other DOE facilities.
• Foster strong relationships and leverage exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This role demands extensive experience in managing large programs, encompassing strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Execute and manage additional responsibilities, such as liaising with key constituents (including operations and engineering) to comprehend facility scope, site objectives, and long-term strategic requirements. This includes developing and tracking SRNS performance milestones, preparing and presenting detailed presentations and communiques for stakeholders, outlining funding requirements, scopes, and schedules, formulating annual and long-term budget outlooks, and understanding variances between current year budgets and actuals, all while regularly reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
