What you can expect from this role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to support our multidisciplinary urologic and gynecologic oncology clinics in Boise. As a float RN, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical care, patient education, and emotional support to individuals navigating their cancer journey. Join the only specialty surgical oncology team in the state of Idaho, our team has a great culture and a passion for advancing patient outcomes!

Full-time : 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts

  • Certification pay (ex. OCN)
  • Provide pre- and post-operative support, chemotherapy coordination, symptom management, patient education, and emotional support, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and compassionate care delivery

    • Urologic Oncology Clinic : houses the only urology navigated biopsy system in Idaho – we perform in clinic procedures and bladder instill chemotherapy!

  • Work closely with the provider during procedures, including cystoscopies, uro nav prostate biopsies, intravesical chemotherapy / biotherapy, etc.
  • Gynecologic Oncology Clinic : assist with procedures such as colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, LEEP, hysteroscopies, minimally invasive surgeries (e.g., laparoscopy, robotic surgery), hysterectomies, and tumor debulking, as well as intraperitoneal chemotherapy and brachytherapy coordination
  • Support the primary nurse and triage areas as needed
  • Offers variety in your workday

    • Minimum qualifications for this role

  • Education : Nursing Degree
  • Experience : One (1) + years’ RN experience preferred
  • Licenses / Certifications : Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute
  • Preferred : oncology, urology, gynecology, and / or surgical experience
