Saddle Tree Craftsman Job Summary
- The Saddle Tree Craftsman is responsible for the precise assembly, shaping, and finishing of wood and fiberglass saddle trees to customer and product specifications. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with hand and power tools, and the ability to work in a small team environment to maintain production flow and quality standards.
Saddle Tree Craftsman Responsibilities
Cut and shape wood parts using saws, routers, and sanding toolsAssemble saddle tree components using adhesives, fasteners, and jigsApply fiberglass coating and finish sanding of tree surfacesFollow detailed drawings, templates, and production instructionsInspect finished products for accuracy, symmetry, and qualityTrack materials and time per work orderMaintain clean and organized workspaces and equipmentCommunicate material needs or defects to supervisorAdhere to shop safety procedures and wear PPEAll other duties assigned by managementSaddle Tree Craftsman Skills and Competencies
Experience with woodworking and carpentry toolsHigh level of attention to detail and craftsmanshipBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to read templates, blueprints, or instructionsPhysical dexterity and comfort with repetitive hand tasksSaddle Tree Craftsman Qualifications
Previous woodworking or carpentry experience preferredComfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and adhesivesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team settingWork Environment
Workshop environment with exposure to wood dust, adhesives, and moderate noise. Proper PPE such as eye protection, gloves, and masks may be required.Physical Requirements
