Position Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support our providers at our Rockville clinic. This role involves a combination of administrative and clinical responsibilities to help ensure seamless patient care and efficient daily operations. The schedule for this position is Monday 7 : 45 AM - 12 : 30 PM and Tuesday through Friday 7 : 45 AM - 5 : 00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain patient records, medical charts, and documentation
• Schedule appointments for physical exams and chronic disease management
• Process prior authorizations and referrals, and respond to inquiries from patients and providers
• Track and link diagnostic imaging (DI) with provider orders
• Confirm patient insurance for billable lab services
• Take and document patient vitals, screenings, and health logs
• Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms
• Operate equipment (EKG, X-ray, etc.) and assist with diagnostic testing
• Administer injections and perform routine lab tests
• Support PCMH and quality initiatives
• Cover staff absences and assist team members as needed
• Interpret instructions, communicate clearly, and solve routine problems
