Overview
Schaefer Architecture is looking for a self-driven Architect who is passionate about design and eager to join a collaborative design firm that positively shapes communities through its work. As an Architect at Schaefer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project document development. You will work directly with the owner and coordinate with all project team members to maintain the quality of the product work within the established project budget and schedule. You will participate in projects of all sizes and sectors from inception through completion of construction. You will partner directly with the Principal-in-Charge to ensure design excellence, the quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions. If you are a collaborative thought leader with a strategic mindset this is the position for you.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project document development.
- Work directly with the owner and coordinate with all project team members to maintain quality within budget and schedule.
- Participate in projects of all sizes and sectors from inception through construction completion.
- Partner with the Principal-in-Charge to ensure design excellence and high-quality project documents.
- Lead cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
Required Skills
Comprehensive understanding of and ability to coordinate and lead the design disciplines in developing technical solutions.Knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.Ability to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.Possess a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings.Work collaboratively with all team members in the conceptual development of project documents.Grow as a leader of the in-house team, coordinating with interior designers, engineers, other consultants and owners.Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.Registered Architect, 5+ years of experience preferred.Demonstrated portfolio.Proficient in the use of REVIT computer modeling and rendering software.Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.To be considered
