Kent School is hiring : Adjunct Music Teacher (Piano) in Kent

The Adjunct Music Instructor is responsible for providing quality music instruction to our students. The instructor is responsible for providing one-on-one instruction so that students are able to successfully complete graduation requirements and / or personal goals in an engaging environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include :

The primary responsibilities of the Adjunct Music Instructor is teaching weekly private music lessons in qualified areas of voice or instrument.

Preparing music students for performances

Maintaining a written record of each student’s preparation and progress throughout the semester

Reporting as needed to the department head or program coordinator

Qualifications : A Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field is required. Preference given to professionals with teaching experience, ideally at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will be :

a student-centered educator

an effective oral and written communicator

eager to work collaboratively with colleagues

committed to improving their practice through peer observation

dedicated to making positive contributions to the student experience and in student performance preparations

Additional Requirements : Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.

Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Work is performed on a smoke free campus.
