Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years CVOR Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Assist in delivering exceptional perioperative care as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician in Salem, VA. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where your specialized skills in cardiovascular surgical support will contribute directly to patient outes during plex heart and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring all necessary surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready.
Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs during cardiovascular surgeries, including handling sophisticated instruments and devices.
Monitor and manage equipment used during procedures, troubleshooting any technical issues swiftly.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless surgical workflow.
Maintain accurate records of instruments and supplies, supporting efficient case turnover.
Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols to promote patient and staff safety.

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

Proven experience as a CVOR Technician or similar role within a cardiovascular surgical setting.

Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures.

Strong understanding of sterile techniques and OR protocol.

Excellent teamwork and munication skills.

Ability to perform in high-pressure environments with attention to detail.

Relevant certifications or training in surgical technology or cardiovascular care are preferred.
