This is a contract to hire and hybrid 3 days a week onsite in Columbus, OH. No sponsorship provided at this time.

Position Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM / BA) to join our Information Technology team in the retail industry . This hybrid role is responsible for leading IT projects from initiation through delivery, while also serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze and document requirements, workflows, and system functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations and technology solutions such as POS systems, ERP, eCommerce platforms, and supply chain systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and manage IT projects across the retail business
  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, marketing, store operations, and vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, risks, issues, and communications.
  • Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project delivery meets business goals and quality standards.

Business Analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Analyze and map current and future state business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop business cases and feasibility analyses for IT initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams and vendors.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and change management processes.
  • Provide post-implementation support and evaluate outcomes to ensure business value is realized.

    • Qualifications :

    Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a dual PM / BA role within an IT department.
  • Experience in the retail industry is required (brick-and-mortar, eCommerce, or omnichannel).
  • Familiarity with retail systems
  • Proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale IT projects.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
