Responsibilities Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospital Work with obstetric patient population in a Level I Trauma Center Night shifts available (4x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00), with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts Block scheduling can be accommodated Weekend work is required every other weekend On-call required : two four-hour blocks per six-week schedule EMR : Epic (experience preferred) Floating not required outside Labor and Delivery Perform nursing care for laboring and delivering mothers and newborns in a high-acuity environment Scrubs are provided by the facility First time travelers are welcome to apply Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to beginning RTO (requested time off) greater than 7 days requires special approval Parking is available for a monthly fee Obligated to participate in any emergency or natural disaster response activities if needed Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for consideration) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required (1.5 years accepted if Level I trauma or travel experience) Current BLS and NRP certifications required Large trauma center experience required One reference required for consideration Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption is provided Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility Return staff must have not worked at the facility in the past 2 years to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622270.
