The Role
We seek an experienced Film or Series Accountant or Production Finance professional with a strong understanding of VFX-related financial tracking to join us as a Manager, Visual Effects Finance. This person should be well versed in the challenges inherent in projecting and dealing in multiple currencies, government tax incentives, and tying financial controls to visual effects production milestones. Key to the position is the ability to help review VFX budget estimates, project potential gains and shortfalls in incentives, liaise with Film Production Finance (Production & Post) for downstream needs, and communicate with show-side Accountants, Post Accountants and VFX Producers / Accountants.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. This person should intuitively understand and appreciate right-sizing budgets and customizing approaches to visual effects (including virtual production techniques) in alignment with a specific Title from high-end spectacle to story-serving invisible effects. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is a rigorous and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment and initiative.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $170,000 - $525,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
