PE license preferred or have the ability to obtain a Maryland PE license within a designated time frame. Must have the physical capabilities to be actively involved in construction projects. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Must wear proper PPE as required. Minimum four (4) year experience in power plant, transmission and distribution electric system design and operation. Maryland Professional Engineer License required. Good communications skills to effectively work with department employees as well as internal and external customers. Must be able to assist when needed with restoration efforts in extreme weather conditions. Familiarity with equipment rated to 69KV, including outdoor substations and medium voltage switchgear. Knowledge of power generators operating on liquid and gaseous fuel including reciprocating and combustion turbine prime movers. Knowledge of Protective relay's, PLC and SCADA control systems required. Proficient in NESC and NFPA codes and standards. A valid driver's license. HIRING RANGE : Annual Salary of $92,742 or higher depending upon experience and credentials

HIRING RANGE : Annual Salary of $111,291 or higher depending upon experience and credentials

Electrical Engineer I - Requirements

- Successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
