Chatham Emergency Services has an opening for an EMS Instructor Position within our EMS Training Center. The Instructor will be responsible provide initial and continuing education for the organization. The EMS Instructor will utilize approved teaching techniques testing and grading procedures.

The Instructor will be responsible to complete the following tasks :

  • Responsible for course creation, record retention, and applying for state course approvals
  • Follows approved course syllabus and company policies
  • Comply with all state and federal educational requirements
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current procedures & protocols within the Paramedic / EMT Field
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the state of Georgia minimum
  • Required to provide patient care and transport as needed

Minimum Requirements :

  • Georgia Paramedic License
  • National Registry EMT Paramedic
  • Georgia EMS Instructor / Coordinator (Paramedic)
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, AND PALS Instructor preferred
  • Minimum 1 year as a Paramedic (on an ambulance)
  • National Association EMT Instructor (preferred)
  • Previous teaching experience (preferred)
  • Associate Degree (preferred)
