Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of cath lab experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in a hospital Cath Lab specializing in cardiovascular procedures

Scheduled Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM

On-call required : 8-9 call shifts per 4 week schedule, including 1 weekend (Friday 4 : 30 PM to Monday 7 : 30 AM) and typically 5 weekdays

Patient ratios are 2 nurses and 1 tech in the lab; in the recovery area, 2 nurses for up to 7 patients

Perform specialized procedures using IABP, temporary pacemaker, permanent pacemaker, ICD, Micra, peripheral equipment, penumbra, stents, balloons, and conscious sedation

Float only to nuclear medicine for stress tests or sedation for biopsy; work may alternate between lab and pre / post areas

Uses Xper, Paragon, and Athena charting systems with training provided

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Scrubs will be provided for all shifts

Team consists of at least two nurses and one tech during lab procedures

Some days may involve working in the pre / post procedure area depending on need

Active OH or compact RN license

Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab RN experience

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Ability to perform and assist with specialized cardiovascular procedures

Two professional references required
