job_description.job_card.job_description18 years of age or older. Able to meet the scheduling needs required for this position. Access to reliable transportation. Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously. Previous work experience in a public setting with a diverse population. Experience organizing and / or leading sports activities. CPR / First Aid training / certification. Ability to work with all age groups. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain files, assemble reports, and perform multiple office functions. Ability to deliver exemplary customer service to the public and district staff.
Job Summary
Adult Instructor - Active Older Adults is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading all activities designed for the class.
Position Summary
- Responsible for teaching all participants.
- Offer support and assistance to the participants.
- Keep accurate records and file reports that are required. Records include payroll, attendance, incident / accident reports, etc.
- Maintain the work area as a safe place to meet by enforcing safety rules, reporting, and eliminating all types of hazards.
- Communicate with the Supervisor concerning any supply needs that may arise.
- Report all problems to the Supervisor.
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Required
Reports to the Supervisor of Active Older Adults.
