JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE : Data Entry Clerk

DEPARTMENT : Energy

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO : Director - Energy

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The purpose of this position is to support the Agency’s needs by inputting deliverable fuel invoices into the Energy database(s).

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Verifies invoice data is accurate and lists DSS required information.
  • Inputs invoice information into designated computer application(s.)
  • Ensures all invoices are date stamped, filed by date, and entered in the system in a timely fashion (2-3 days after receiving).
  • Creates and maintains filing system for all received and processed invoices.
  • Corresponds with vendors, funders and staff as required or assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    Education : High school diploma or GED.

    Minimum Years of Experience : Two (2) years of experience in an office environment with data entry.

    Demonstrated Skills : Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and computer databases. Ability to follow instructions and be adaptable. Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

    ADA COMPLIANCE

    Physical Ability : Tasks involve light lifting - ability to lift 10- 20 lbs, sedentary to light work, involving some reaching, handling, fingering and / or feeling of objects and materials.

    Sensory Requirements : Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.

    Environmental Factors : Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, animals / wildlife, toxic / poisonous agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
