Food Service Leader

The Food Service Worker Lead of the department is closely supervised by the Food Service Supervisors and Patient Service Manager. Help for example, with a team-oriented atmosphere by ensuring all people are participating equally and productively with one another.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2- years’ experience in a food service setting preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • The position can be in or outdoors under normal working conditions. Should be able to push / pull, lift / move 50 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION :

    Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, Food Service Lead is responsible for :

  • Restock the line according to the tally sheet for the next meal.
  • Separate and track tickets to be placed on the patient trays during meal service.
  • Production of items according to the daily menus.
  • Filling floor stock requests, delivery of these items using FIFO method and maintaining cleanliness of refrigerators.
  • Able to operate the cash register.
  • Maintaining food safety standards by monitoring temperatures for cold food on the line.
  • Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks
  • Adhere to standards set by the department for sanitation of all equipment and food contact surfaces.
  • Adhere to standards set by the department for food storage, handling and portioning of all foods.
  • Accomplish the day’s tasks as set forth by the position policies and procedures.
  • Provide “on the job” training to inexperienced employees.

    Salary Range : $16.08-21.07 / hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
