We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and support IT infrastructure systems in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure system reliability, security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving IT systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer and support IT systems, ensuring uptime and compliance with security best practices.
  • Collaborate with server engineers, network engineers, and end-user services teams to optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Deploy and implement technologies according to industry standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for specific technologies supported by the team.
  • Monitor, patch, and tune systems to maintain optimal functionality and security.
  • Install and upgrade applications, infrastructure components, and system patches as required.
  • Automate routine processes using scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Present detailed recommendations and solutions to leadership to support decision-making.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are implemented effectively.

Requirements :

  • Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or related IT roles.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory domains.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, VMware, and virtualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with server and storage hardware solutions such as Dell, Lenovo, and Cisco.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using tools like PowerShell and Python.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to various levels within the organization.
