Description

: The Infusion nurse provides direct patient care and coordinates infusion services. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, evaluation, education and support for the patient and their family. This care occurs in a variety of settings including the infusion clinic and in the patient's home. The infusion nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, care and management of central lines, and may have specialized training with infusion therapy.Education : ? Required : Graduate of an accredited nursing program ? Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience : ? Preferred : Previous nursing experience
