Salary : $20-$30 PER HOUR

Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic - Knowledge on Class 8 Diesel Tractors

Mechanic Position Available

We are a rapidly-growing transportation company looking for a Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic to join

our team Monday through Friday 5 : 30am - 4 : 00 with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Perform quality inspections and regular maintenance on trailers

Perform repairs on suspension,air brakes, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Replace tires

welding / fabrication experience

Must be able to work on top of 13 trailers and underneath

Provide occasional mobile maintenance in our service truck (most within 15 miles)

Must be able to work in outside conditions when necessary

Read, write and communicate fluently in English.

Own and Operate basic tools

CDL Class A not required but is a plus

Additional duties include :

Cleaning shop, repair bays, etc. Empty oil drains

Assist other mechanics with repairs Pulling trucks in and out of the shop

Working Conditions : Primarily in the Shop but also in trailer lot, vehicle environment, may require

lifting 100 lbs at least once per day. This job requires a combination of standing, sitting,

climbing, bending and walking as well as excellent visual and auditory skills to be able to inspect

trailers and clearly communicate with the other mechanics. The environment is can be noisy. The

physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat / cold, wet / humid,

and snow / ice conditions.

Prior Experience is preferred Job Type : Full-time

Pay : dependent upon experience

After 60 days candidate is eligible for the following
