The Health & Safety Advisor reports directly to the H&S Manager to assist in the development and implementation of common EHS programs, policies, and processes. Manages daily EHS support activities within assigned location(s). Duties could include regulatory fieldwork, data collection, compliance auditing, training, and emergency response. This role requires someone who is results-oriented and compliance-driven.
Position Responsibilities may include :
- Administer EHS programs and policies, including policy guidance
- Provide in-depth support to EHS team members and customers
- Coach employees and managers on the EH&S program and policy interpretation
- Perform daily compliance audits within the facility on both internal employees and contractor / vendor activities
- Develop and provide functional training for internal and external employees / customers
- Serve as a consultant to management on health and safety-related issues while assessing and anticipating customer needs
- Complete incident investigations and required documentation retention
- Ensure appropriate regulatory and business documentation and recordkeeping; enter required data, update and maintain records
- Research, collect, and analyze data and information, and prepare reports as needed
- Record, analyze, and report on key metrics
- Collaborate with Corporate / Specialist functions to develop and implement integrated solutions
- Drive Corporate EHS initiatives, policies, and programs throughout the assigned facility or facilities
- Maintain confidential information
- Perform additional projects / duties to support ongoing business needs

Interfaces with various departments, contractors, agencies, and trade groups to advance the goals and mission of the company, as well as assist all employees in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsSupport Goodman Manufacturing's 5S effortsOversee all due diligence activitiesKnowledge & Skills :
Working knowledge of fundamental EHS concepts, practices, and procedures, including sustainabilityHas in-depth health and safety compliance knowledgeStrong working knowledge of MS Office : Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skills (including public speaking) and good interpersonal skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyEffective analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective organizational and time management skillsExcellent collaboration, facilitation, and team-building skills; ability to establish positive work relationshipsAbility to develop positive working relationshipsAbility to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the jobExperience :
3+ years of experience, preferably within a large manufacturing environmentEducation / Certification ;
Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred; may consider 5+ years of relevant experiencePeople Management : No
