Cardio Coder – Austin, TX (Onsite)

  • ? Location : Austin, TX 78756
  • ? Schedule : Full-time, Mon–Fri, 8–5 (40 hrs / wk, onsite)
  • ? Pay : $25–28 / hr (higher for 10+ yrs) | Temp-to-Hire

Requirements :

  • Certified Coder (CPC preferred; AHIMA or AAPC accepted)
  • Strong Cardiology / Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular coding experience
  • Confident, self-starter, able to serve as primary in-house coder

    • Day-to-Day :

  • Code surgical procedures, DX, E / M, and modifiers from paper records (no abstracting)
  • Support prior auth team with coding needs
  • Review charts / queries for clarity, ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Stay updated on vascular / cardiology coding changes (share updates, webinars)
  • Code 30–60 cases / day depending on complexity

    • Details :

  • Software : EZDI (AI-assisted coding), Dr. Z, coding resources / books
