Role Overview

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for an Industrial / Principal Industrial Engineer Level 2 / 3 to lead our manufacturing optimization efforts in Iuka, MS. We are looking for bold ideas and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.
• Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize schedule.
• Work with frontline leadership to assess current state and define future state possibilities.
• Provide tactics and training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to improve the current state and define future possibilities.
• Conduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.
• Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customers.
• Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.
• Provide capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.

This position is on-site in Iuka, MS and cannot be performed remotely. Travel is estimated to be around 10%.

This role can be filled at an Industrial Engineer or a Principal Industrial Engineer Level 2 / 3 depending on the qualifications below.

Primary Level Salary Range : $66,600.00 - $99,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range : $82,100.00 - $123,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
