Work Performed :
- Fabricates, constructs, installs, tests, adjusts, maintains, repairs or replaces any components, panels or sections of aircraft electrical, electronic, communication, navigation, flight instruments and instrumentation systems or packages.
- Lays out and installs a variety of tubing and / or tubing systems for instrumentation work.
- Installs, adjusts, and maintains control tower or other fixed base or mobile communications equipment.
- Makes "in flight tests" as necessary.
- Must obtain any additional licenses or permits required by the government to meet government regulations.
Tools & Equipment Used :
Radio repair and electrician's hand tools, flaring tools, tube cutters and tubing installation tools.Various types of power tools and hand tools necessary to perform required work.Experience & Other Requirements :
Four years of aircraft electronics (avionics) experience within the last 10 years.Successful completion of an 18 to 24 month accredited curriculum in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology within the last 10 years.Successful completion of a military Electronics / Avionics course at least 8 months in length within the last 10 years.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
