What You'll Be Doing
Water Quality & Chemistry
- Test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, etc.)
- Apply chemicals safely and accurately to ensure water quality meets health department standards
- Maintain detailed logs for all chemical testing and treatments
Pool Cleaning & Presentation
Vacuum pool floors and skim surface debris dailyBrush pool walls, steps, and waterline tilesMaintain clean and organized pool deck, loungers, umbrellas, and surrounding areasEquipment Maintenance
Inspect and maintain pool pumps, filters, heaters, timers, and automatic chlorinatorsPerform routine cleaning of filters and backwash systemsTroubleshoot and report any malfunctions to the Facilities ManagerCoordinate with vendors for major repairs or inspections as neededSafety & Compliance
Ensure the pool area is compliant with local health and safety regulationsKeep safety equipment (lifebuoys, signs, etc.) in good condition and correctly positionedReport any hazards or unsafe conditions immediatelySupport lifeguards in ensuring a safe and enjoyable pool environmentMember Interaction & Communication
Interact with club members in a professional, friendly mannerRespond promptly to maintenance requests or concernsCommunicate regularly with management about pool status and upcoming needsWhat You Need for this Position
Minimum 5 years of pool maintenance experience (country club, resort, or hospitality experience preferred) or 3+ years experience at a property with multiple bodies of waterCertified Pool Operator (CPO) (preferred) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO)CPR / First Aid certificationAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseWorking knowledge of pool chemistry and filtration systemsStrong attention to detail and service mindsetMust be able to lift 50+ lbsTop Reasons to Work With GHG
