General Sales Manager
Peters Honda, a high-volume, well-established and family-owned automotive dealership is seeking an experienced and motivated General Sales Manager to lead and drive performance across its New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales department. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, professional environment with strong support and potential for growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Achieve monthly sales volume and gross profit targets
- Lead, manage, and develop the New and Pre-Owned Sales teams
- Recruit, hire, and coach high-performing sales professionals
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and days’ supply
- Ensure team is well-informed on vehicle inventory, marketing promotions, rebates, and incentives
- Accurately appraise trade-in vehicles and manage used vehicle acquisition strategy
- Collaborate with executive management to forecast sales and control expenses
- Personally support sales staff in customer interactions and closing deals
- Enhance the overall customer experience throughout the purchase process
- Coordinate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to optimize the sales and delivery workflow
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and regulatory requirements
- Promote a customer-centric, team-oriented culture aligned with company values
Qualifications :
3–5 years of automotive sales management experience requiredStrong leadership and coaching abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) is a plusAbility to thrive in a performance-based, high-volume environmentProfessional appearance and a strong work ethicExcellent verbal and written communication skillsValid driver’s license and clean driving record requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferredCompensation & Benefits :
