Job description : Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Provider to join our team in Pinellas County. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in wound care at a provider level (MD, DO, NP, PA), as well as experience in home health care. They should possess specialized knowledge in wound management and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wound issues. This role is crucial in promoting healing, preventing complications, and enhancing the overall well-being of our patients.

Duties

• Assess and evaluate patients’ wounds, including size, depth, and condition, to develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, infection prevention, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure optimal healing outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and document findings accurately in medical records.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in wound care practices and technologies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound management within the facility.
