Electrical Design Intern

ELECTRICAL DESIGN INTERN

The Electrical Design Internship is a student-level position that focuses on learning and serves as an applied design resource. The internship offers experience within a multi-disciplined team and requires the acquisition of electrical design skills and knowledge.

The responsibilities of the Electrical Design Intern include, but are not limited to :

  • Assisting in creating designs, including electrical design, instrumentation and process drawings, panel layouts, MCC's, elevation, one-lines, component selection, and bills of materials.
  • Working with designers on drawing packages in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Performing project tasks under direct supervision while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Intern candidates should have :

  • Enrollment in or completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree program in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university.
  • Preferred :

  • Education or training in electrical design.
  • Education or training in electrical fundamentals such as voltage, current, and resistance.
  • Education or training in the use of AutoCAD Electrical.
