- Work independently and perform effectively utilizing software and databases necessary to perform duties such as but not limited to : Crystal Reports, Word, Excel, Access, EHD, Carmody, EBridge, Everbridge, HMS, and Internet resources. Research, review, enter data, scan files, mailing.
- Conduct required environmental health inspections and evaluations for compliance with applicable Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, Environmental Health Program Manual DOHM 150-4, Health Coding Guide Book CIS / HMC, and county ordinances in the OSTDS Program as directed by supervisor.
- Work with clients, customers, septic contractors, and plumbers to trouble shoot issues with installed aerobic treatment units. Follow up on violations relating to operation and permitting requirements. Send reminders to clients and contractors to renew permits and maintenance contracts. Send reminders to contractors to complete inspections and sampling requirements.
- Process annual permits, permit applications; complete inspections and re-inspections in accordance with applicable Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, Environmental Health Program Manual DOHM 150-4, and all pertinent county ordinances in The OSTDS Program as directed by supervisor.
- Investigate sanitary nuisance complaints that may be a public health risk or public health nuisance and prepare reports, legal notices, and other documents relating to environmental health issues. Collect evidence, prepare legal notices, and initiate appropriate enforcement action when warranted.
- Responsible for proper maintenance of vehicles and all equipment assigned.
- All other duties as directed by the Environmental Supervisor II-SES.

A valid driver's license is required.
