Job Description

The State of Wisconsin – Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Senior .NET Web Developer to lead full‑stack web development efforts supporting modernized financial systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in .NET Core, JavaScript frameworks, and database technologies, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a structured Agile team.

Specialty Areas

Full‑Stack Web Development – Expertise in building scalable web apps using .NET MVC / Core, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL Server.

Modern UI Development – Utilizing Kendo UI, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS for responsive, user‑friendly interfaces.

Data Layer Development – Working with Entity Framework and SQL Server, including data modeling and structure.

SDLC & Agile Practices – Engaging in all project phases : planning, coding, testing, deployment, and post‑production support.

Toolsets & Collaboration – Using GitHub, TFS, JIRA, and CI / CD practices in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack web applications using .NET Core, MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

Maintain and modernize legacy applications, including transitions from .NET Framework to .NET Core.

Collaborate with analysts, QA, and business users to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Conduct code reviews and participate in unit and smoke testing.

Create and maintain technical documentation, database models, and system architecture diagrams.

Provide post‑production support and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

Ensure adherence to development standards, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Qualifications

Experience with Crystal Reports or MS Access.
