Product Manufacturing Engineer

Allegro MicroSystems, a pioneer in high-performance semiconductor solutions, is seeking a skilled Product Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role involves enhancing the production processes for our semiconductor products, focusing primarily on automotive, communication, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to the advancement of Allegro MicroSystems' product efficiency and quality, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge market needs and technological innovations. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Support product design from a manufacturability standpoint and ensure seamless transition from prototype to full-scale production. Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve complex problems and perform root cause analysis. Knowledge of ISO quality standards. Experience with Lean manufacturing principles. Project management skills.
