Responsibilities Work in a 23-bed ICU of a Level I Trauma, Magnet-recognized teaching hospital Care for cardiac ICU patients and overflow from MICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU with a focus on cardiology Patient ratio is 1 : 2 Floating to other ICUs and boarder areas within the hospital is expected Night shift, 3x12 hours (19 : 00-07 : 30), every other weekend required with flexibility No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR; experience required Primary responsibilities include managing high acuity ICU patients with cardiology focus and supporting overflow from other critical care units Blue scrubs provided by facility or staff may wear their own solid color scrubs Holiday time-off is restricted; travelers may have one major holiday off and three additional non-holiday days, with preference to work Christmas No block scheduling available Candidates may be asked to avoid working in travel pairs Two orientation sessions per month for RNs; Epic module completed during orientation Modules must be completed pre-start, with Epic module done during orientation Daily parking is available at facility cost Locals accepted at the same rate No RTO allowed during orientation week, with a maximum of six RTO days allowed Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience required Prior travel experience required (at least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital) Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred but not required Experience in high-volume, high-acuity, teaching and trauma facilities preferred Epic EMR experience required Candidates must be COVID vaccinated and boosted References must be from direct supervisors Returning staff must have a 18-month separation from previous employment at the facility Must pass a pre-assignment EKG exam with a score of 80% or above Pending licenses not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627848.
